2025/2026 Field Trips

2025/2026 Schedule Listed below!

The Dallas Theater, located in downtown Dallas, is excited to offer an affordable, educational, and a truly professional theatre experience for kids in kindergarten and up! Each year, Bright Star Touring Theatre hosts field trip shows specializing in STEM, literacy, curriculum, and character education based programs. Their shows are exciting, engaging, and interactive! Each show comes with curriculum standards as well as a study guide to reinforce the character builders and standards learned.

The price for each student and chaperone (teachers are free) is $7. Each show lasts approximately one hour. We recommend packing a lunch and stopping by a local park on your route before or after your show for a fun low cost day. Space is limited so please contact us today to reserve your spot!

One of our most popular productions, Meet Dr. King is a wonderful introduction to the life and work of one of America’s most influential men. This show is perfect for younger audiences, serving to introduce students to major concepts of Black History like freedom, integration and equality. Meet Dr. King helps young people begin to understand the importance of Dr. King and the Civil Rights Movement. Follow along as the play takes us from Dr. King’s life as just a young boy experiencing racism for the first time, to meeting his wife, Coretta, to becoming a pastor and finally a national inspiration.
