2026/2027 Schedule Listed below!
The Dallas Theater, located in downtown Dallas, is excited to offer an affordable, educational, and a truly professional theatre experience for kids in kindergarten and up! Each year, Bright Star Touring Theatre hosts field trip shows specializing in STEM, literacy, curriculum, and character education based programs. Their shows are exciting, engaging, and interactive! Each show comes with curriculum standards as well as a study guide to reinforce the character builders and standards learned.
The price for each student and chaperone (teachers are free) is $7. Each show lasts approximately one hour. We recommend packing a lunch and stopping by a local park on your route before or after your show for a fun low cost day. Space is limited so please contact us today to reserve your spot!

Featuring life-like, colorful dinosaur puppets that stomp, roar and charm their way into every heart, this show blends science, storytelling and imagination in the style of your favorite nature programs. It’s an unforgettable field trip through time—without ever leaving your seat!

Jack’s Adventure in American History

Join Jack as he crams for his upcoming test. When his history book magically bursts, Jack meets some of the most exciting people in our nation’s history! George Washington, Ben Franklin, Henry Ford and Neil Armstrong are just some of the 22 characters who show up in this high-energy adventure. Audience volunteers help write the Constitution, work on Ford’s assembly line and even demand the right to vote.

The Life of Dr. King

One of Black History’s most influential Civil Rights Leaders, the life and story of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. is one of both triumph and tragedy. Learn how Dr. King came to be such a prominent leader in this dramatic show. Follow Dr. King’s life from his time as a young boy in Georgia, to becoming a preacher in Alabama, to becoming an important figure on the international stage. A powerful and impactful story, audiences will come to recognize that the Civil Rights won during Dr. King’s time came with a heavy price, and consider what role they will continue to play in the struggle for equality.
